Oliviero Gallegati started building custom road bikes in 1973 in Lugo, not far from Bologna, naming his company SOMEC in homage to Societ Mechanica, Italy's Mechanic's Society. Somec still produces steel bikes, modern and replica, alongside their carbon offerings.
Our frames are checked for wear, damage and alignment. Rear spacing is listed as the actual measurement.
